As an LA native
I was born and raised in LA in the Kizh tribe, or as the Spanish transplants call us, the Tongva. Anyone miss the good old days when fishing and canoeing was all the rage before the Spanish came in and gentrified everything? Us locals are being priced out of our own homes. Used to be you could trade a few pounds of smoked fish for a well built hut on a decent lot far away from the murderous Christian missions, we used to be able to ride our horses across hectares of land but now it’s all been turned into yet another food hall. I miss the good old days before manifest destiny came and ruined it all!
