Royal paying her respects
Saw this Royal Caribbean in New York going by the statue of liberty, while aboard the QM2. she sounded her horn in respect. (And probably deafened the tourists on island at the time.)

As a follow up to the Police search question I posted the other day, here is Themis contradicting itself.
Unless of course, police routinely handcuff people in their car.
Fuck you, Themis, that is a bullshit question and you know it.
Ahoy,
I have some questions in regards to attending OCS as a prior enlisted member. I've read through the nect.navy.mil website, but it did not answer my questions as they're pretty particular. I will ship off to OCS sometime in the fall, date still TBD, I will be on active duty. I am currently not on active duty, as I'm in the Career Intermission Program (CIP) until 1 October 2026, wherein I'm obliged to rejoin as what I left as (E-6).
My main question is for the paperwork side of things. The NECT has required paperwork being things like birth certificate, marriage certificate, canceled checks for enrollment in auto-pay, etc. Since I'd already be active duty, these things are already in my service record, my dependent will already have his ID, and I may already be getting paid by Big Navy (I've no idea how quickly this will be cleared from returning off CIP, so that may be iffy). Do I still need to bring these documents anyway? I am aware I need to bring Pg2, stamped orders, etc, from whatever return command I'll be at before shipping.
I also have my 2nd class swim qualification paperwork. Do I bring this paperwork, and if so, does that excuse me from doing the 3rd class swim qualification? Not against doing it, just curious.
Similar question to that, is there any part of OCS that an prior Enlisted is excused from? Like all the various welcome-aboard immunization shots I've already gotten the first time. I have heard that priors don't do the weapons familiarization, but I could be mistaken. I know I'll still get beat along with the others.
For uniforms, I know I can bring my old stuff that's in good condition. But what is the practical effect of this? Would I be wearing my NWUs earlier than the rest of the group, since they're name tagged and ready, or would I be same-same and wear PT gear+masking tape as if I'm waiting along with the others? I already have a seabag that I'm planning on bringing said uniforms in; would they mandate I get a new one to fill with the uniform items I don't possess, or do I bring my old one into the issue area? Will they ding me for having the non-pinch frogs for my ribbons/metals, or is it recommended to bring them since the pinch ones always pop off?
Thank you very much!
I'll be heading to the Navy OCS if I pass this coming July bar exam, so I've started to run three times a week before I start my studies for the day. I hate every second of it, but I'm older so I have a real fear of injury if I don't prep myself prior to shipping off.
Anyone else in the same boat, if even just joining JAGC? None of my classmates I knew of are joining, so I'm reading out to see if there are others who are also in my boat.
I just got my first graded essay back from Themis (yes, I know, I'm super delayed), and other than the score itself, I am uncertain where to look for any comments by my grader.
Like.
Was I supposed to get something? If so, where? In the essay itself? Somewhere else?
I was building a small villager trading hall on a small SMP, and zombing my guys and curing them. However, they were all forest villagers before, but became plains once cured! It didn't matter if I had traded with them before or not, they all defaulted to plains.
I tried again with a random spawn zombie villager, and once again it changed to plains.
Is this a bug I'm unaware of?
I know all of you were eagerly awaiting the results of the Race between Discovery and Grand. The Ol' Grand alas was exhibiting her age, and Discovery has won with a decent margin.
Now get off our lawn, young whipper snappers!
Leaving from LA to Vancouver on the Grand Princess, and the Discovery Princess is doing the same. So we are racing.
