Mobile photography over the last decade or so. Or: I quite like a filter, I need all the help I can get!

I first got into using a phone for photographs when my camera was stolen and I had to think about composition etc a lot more. The first phone I LOVED using was the iPhone 3GS as the limitations of the actual camera were celebrated by loads of apps mimicking retro, lomo, tilt/shift cameras and lots of fun filters. I decided to buy a Nokia 808 pureview as my first real "compromise" between a phone and a camera as you could edit a soft 'raw-like' photo on the phone and also use presets. I had a few Samsungs where it actually felt you could get a useable image without lots of manipulation for the first time. What really surprised me was that I could take photos with my phone and my camera and - to me - the camera was so superior in quality and yet most people I knew couldn't tell the difference. My latest phone - a xiaomi 17 ultra - has caused me to fall in love with filters all over again as some are really lovely and I can't wait to get out and enjoy it. I think a professional photographer can get a good shot out of any camera they use however basic but I love the apps and filters that can really help if you have less natural talent.

Sorry! My tags on the photos and their order have got messed up.

For anyone interested: In order iphone 3GS tilt/shift, galaxy s22u, iphone 4, s22u, galaxy s10, nokia 808, note 4 x 3, nokia 808, iphone 4 lomo, camera (to compare with the other dog photo taken with the note 4 on the same walk).

{UK} DPD up to their usual antics

So when their own GPS shows a driver didn't attempt to come to my building, how can they not make an effort to send him back? He's just down the road. My time is nothing to them and I have it all to do again tomorrow. I'm frustrated because they are so difficult to get in touch with. There should be a company where people don't get paid if they don't even attempt to deliver.

Dogs won't drink!!

UPDATE: Thank you all - some great suggestions that I'll remember for next time. We went to the river and they drank loads of that so I was probably over panicking - it's not usually 35C in the UK!

So - I have tried getting my dogs to drink more water in the heatwave and they don't want to drink at all. They've been all night and this morning I've tried getting them to drink water (filtered) from their bowl - both refused. I tried offering the goat milk for dogs and they didn't want that. I've put mineral water in a ceramic bowl and still nothing. They'll happily drink from puddles but there aren't any. What's going on?
