Bandmen who are considered nice fellas.

Hi to all!

Well, as you all know, there's always some kind of drama (with their all rights) in every group that involve humans, since no one is perfect.

This post is not to dismiss wrongdoing but mostly to see the 'bottle half full' instead of 'half empty'. Bad people are in every corner of the world; we can criticize someone's action, but also focus on the bright side. Without further ado.

What bandmen do you know that have done good to society, or are just good nice fellas.

I'll start (and I'll add more as you guys post)

Kouki from D=Out

He was very active on Instagram, trying to visualize Japanese culture in the West with his broken English. It was funny seeing how hard he tried to write in English (not very good English), but I applaud his effort.

Chisa from ACME/DiV

There's a western YouTuber who was able to interview them and it was very fun to see them all from ACME, but Chisa was the one who stood the most, being very open and kind when talking about himself and fans. (He even complains that there are girls who want to date him while he's dressed as a woman, but he laughingly refuses them)

Please don't sleep on HOLLOWGRAM

If you were a fan of 9Goats Black Out, I assume you've been following what their members are doing at the moment.

We know that UTA is in Sukekiyo, which is pretty much one of the most famous band at the moment.

Ryo is in different projects: Dalle, Keel and H.U.G. They're really good but they just don't scratch that 9goats feeling.

Then, we have Hollowgram and holy cow. I knew some of their singles and EP but you know how hard is to sometimes get some materials by Japanese artists.

I recently found out that they are in Youtube music and I beg of ya, give them a try.

My favourite song by them was Silhouette but listening to their albums I gotta say they're really really good.

They have this mix of Calmness, acoustic guitars, and synths. Something you'd listen to in a bar, drinking something while they're performing live.

So I just watched 'Obsession' (Yes, another obsession thread)

And I just want to add my grain of salt on the idea behind 'love'.

So, after finishing the movie, I thought to myself, why does the wish of becoming the person you are loved the most by someone end up as an obsession?

If you think about it, love is positive, and if it's a healthy relationship, it shouldn't spiral down into an obsession...

Then it got me thinking. It was the main protagonist of idea of 'love'. That's why Nikki got all obsessive over him. We do know that the obsessive one was him, but at the moment he wished for that, he printed his 'idea of love' into the wish, that's why we see in the whole movie that he doesn't actually try much to reverse the wish, because deep inside he feels that's the correct way to love.

Everything that 'Shadow Nikki' does is a reflection of his own heart, meaning that he could be capable of doing things like that for her.

Well, that's just my take.

I started reading Maggot Baits and there's something bugging me...

All the torture and rape scenes so far have been fully drawn, voiced, and graphic... yet the fights or deaths of other characters that aren't witches are just clashes and blood splatter, and that's it. Honestly, that's a little disappointing.

I was expecting something like splatter punk horror in literature where everyone actually suffers, yet this is more like a fetishized way to torture 'women' (witches)

In any case, I'll continue reading it.

I just finished the game...

And the only thing I can say is that this is the type of media that has to be experienced, not told.

If a friend of mine told me the story of the game, and the core gameplay, I'd be like 'ok, cool, sounds nice' and that's it.

But since you experience it, everything hits 'harder', so to say.

It reminds me of tons of movies that I've recommended to my friends and they just 'don't like them', but it's because it's not your usual Hollywood movie, but it's more about feeling it. Feeling the photography, the soundtrack (or the lack of it), facial expressions and acting, the setting, and such.

That's how I feel about Outer Wilds.

Did you think I was out? welp I just needed me some weeked off but we're back! Anyways...

I found D.I.D back when omnibuses were a thing, like do you guys remember those shockwave CDs with different songs of different bands? Those were the times tho...

In any case, I met some of these guys with their previous band Para:noir with their song Regret

While Para:noir wasn't that 'heavy' as D.I.D was, I think it was worth mention it since it's really good.

Then, they made D.I.D, remade some of their old songs and composed new ones.

I really don't know which one I like the most by them, because I think they are all really good, but I'd go with Providentia and Point of no return

There's something dreadful about their songs, like ominous... Their lyrics are mostly the same, not believing in God, but instead of hating your life or something like that, they would always sing something like 'trust in yourself'.

Unfortunately, they disbanded and... their vocal, Akane, suffers from Schizophrenia. Last I knew about him, he worked in a project, but really I don't know which one, because he's been in and out from the hospital (hope he gets better!)

The others musicians have worked in other projects such as Dimlim and Nazare.

Last but not least, check out Paranoid personality, which, for me, is their magnum opus.
