I made some adjustments to my 2022 tax return and was approved for an additional refund of approximately $4,244 The adjustment has been processed, but I still haven’t received the cheque.
I was informed that, as of May 18 my file has been with the STATUTE team and that the cheque should be released within 45 days However, it’s now been more than 45 days, and there has been no update.
Has anyone had a similar experience? If so, how long did it take for you to receive your cheque? Any advice or insight would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

My background:
I am a 25-year-old male currently studying in a Tier 1 college in the United States. I have been on Approved Leave of Absence since January 2025.
I have held two F1 visas:
- My current F1 visa is valid until 2029.
- I had an F1 visa before 2019-2024.
I have made seven to eight visits to the US in the past, never overstaying and always adhering to regulations.
I also have valid UK and Spain Schengen visas. My travel and visa history includes multiple visits to the UK, UAE, Singapore, and Malaysia.
I am planning to travel to the US with my parents and sister on July 20th. We will be travelling to Los Angeles, then Madrid from Los Angeles, and finally returning to India.
My parents and sister both hold valid tourist visas that are valid until 2029. My father has been a bureaucrat in Delhi for the past 25 years, and my sister is a doctor. We have a strong financial background, with account balances exceeding ₹2 crore.
My main concerns are:
- Is my case strong enough for a tourist visa approval?
- What are the chances of getting rejected, as this could cancel my F1 visa, which I cannot afford to lose?
- What should I do?
I would greatly appreciate your opinion on my tourist visa case.
