Question about selling an old Dell laptop
Guys I don't know shit about computers. I know selling gets rehashed a lot on this sub but was wondering if it's worth it to buy an adapter in an attempt to salvage an old computer.
I have a Dell Inspirion that's basically sat in a closet for probably 15 years with no other accessories. To my surprise, people buy these things on ebay and I could certainly use any extra money right now. Would it be worth it to track down and buy an adapter, or should I look up directions on how to take the hard drive out of it and sell it for parts? I don't remember what would be on it but I'm sure my personal info's in it.
Basically I didn't know if it was worth it to pay $10-15 for an adapter when the damn thing could be dead anyway.
Appreciate any advice.

Question for those who sell magazines
I vaguely remember shipping some magazines 20 odd years ago in poly bags and not using protection, but it seems as if cardboard is recommended now.
Cutting down cardboard boxes is going to be too time consuming. Do you guys buy the rigid cardboard sheets, and if so, have a good option on where to pick them up for a good price? Or another good idea for shipping protection?
Many of them are older Rolling Stone magazines so I would need 11x13 cardboard if going that route.
