Transportation - Failed first attempt

I failed the PE Civil Transportation exam about 2 months ago. I used EET videos, quizzes, and exams + the NCEES practice exam, but felt like I did well on the actual exam.
This time I’m going through the EET binder properly, which I didn’t do before. I’m deciding between:

CEA Ultimate Transportation
PPI Transportation — 2 Full Practice Exams
Jacob Petro — 160 CBT Questions
School of PE — Full Exam

Which would you recommend for realistic timed practice? Is PPI worth the extra cost, or would you go with CEA, Petro, or School of PE?

H1B: Anyone else in the same boat?

H-1B extension filed in June 2025. Upgraded to premium processing on May 28, 2026, and still no approval. USCIS says the case is pending and no action is needed from me.
Anyone with similar dates still waiting? What’s your timeline?

Government appeal???

Did the government appeal the courts decision?

My company’s lawyers just said that the USCIS will be taking their time to approve cases because the government has appealed the court’s decision.

Can someone confirm whats going on lately.

H-1B Holders From Affected Countries

For those affected by the 39-country USCIS filing pause and waiting on an H-1B case:

What was your filing date?

I’m trying to see how old the pending H-1B cases are and whether USCIS is moving any particular filing periods.

Since I have passed the 240 day limit and have stopped working. Is it acceptable for me to continue using my accrued PTO while my H1B extension is still pending due to the pause?

Losing EAD and health insurance

I’m at risk of losing my H-1B work authorization because of this horrible pause. My wife, who is on an H-4 visa, is due to give birth soon, and our biggest concern right now is losing the only health insurance we have.

We’re extremely worried about facing overwhelming medical bills during and after the delivery. Are there any options, programs, or applications we could pursue to avoid a financial disaster if my work authorization expires?
