Starting Semester 2 in Mechanical Eng. What to expect?

I'll be starting my second semester of Mechanical Engineering in a few days. I'm taking applied Thermodynamics, Introduction to Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Design, and env & sustainability.

Semester 1 was alright (I took eng Maths along with the other three subs) but I've heard that Intro to Mech is one of the hardest units and that a lot of people fail it?

Is it heavily based on group work? If so, what are the group projects like and what do you exactly have to do? Also, how did you find the difficulty of the other units?

Any tips or advice or how you found that class would be really appreciated!
