two class actions just filed. MLA caps military APR at 36% on credit products, fees included. both companies allegedly pushed refund advance loans way past that cap and forced service members to sign arbitration waivers as a condition. no settlement yet, still at complaint stage. if certified, the class covers any active duty member or covered dependent who took a refund advance from either company. worth saving if you or a family member used either for refund advances. MLA carries statutory damages so payouts can be real.
