Thoughts about diversifying

So I have been investing for a couple of years now, mostly in index funds, ETFs and some individual stocks.

When I started, I didn’t know what I was doing at all so I was dumping all of my cash into indexes and etfs that basically contained the same stocks, and what’s worse I bought some individual stocks that I already basically owned. Now I’m overexposed to AI and also the American economy despite being European.

I know that I shouldn’t have been investing without knowing anything about anything, but what’s done is done and I now want to learn more.

My portfolio is up nicely as I’m sure everyone’s is who’s been around the AI boom, but I want to take some of my money out of those AI/data/tech heavy funds and get into something more stable and less volatile.

As some basic background info, I’m 28 with a stable job in developing AI (which is also why I was so into that sector..) and some savings outside investments, so I’m looking to invest super long term. Some questions:

1. Where would you personally go from here?

2. Between bonds, real estate ETFs and commodities (or others) what would you learn about and look into first?

3. Which markets should I look into? As mentioned, I’m European but my portfolio is really US focused. Europe, Japan, India, others..?

Thank you in advance if I get any replies

Is this a good long term hold?

I’m talking long like years and years, I’m not a trader type of person at all. Volatility is fine, but I’m trying to research whether or not this is a good long term bet to add to my portfolio- why or why not?
