this happens way more often than people realize.

this happens way more often than people realize.

ever wonder why people randomly leave as soon as you join?

it's usually one of a few options..

  1. survivor side: there is stigma surrounding the character you or someone else is playing and they assume either is bad (jane, claudette, meg, jeff, mikaela, etc. etc.) in other words, they're toxic and care too much.

  2. killer side: they are closet cheating and saw which killer you joined the lobby as and they don't like said killer.

bonus:

  1. PC typically dislike console survivors. [dropping pallets when trying to heal, very casual]

  2. they genuinely realize they need to go do something else first.

i wish dbd wasn't filled with subtle cheaters and i also wish we had more servers.

had to throw that in there.

context:

i joined a lobby, and if you don't know- whether you leave the lobby or not whatever you say in the lobby chat will stay there for anyone who joins after. this is what was in the chat when i joined, but the "cheater" had already left. i hadn't played against an unknown in at least 100 hours, so this would be a crazy coincidence amongst 42 killer choices.

closet cheating is extremely rampant in dbd and i hope they finally figure out how to deal with it.
