Fighting on busses

This morning as i was getting on the D17, i witnessed 3 men getting off the bus while a couple at the back yelled and screamed. The man was completely covered in blood, and the back of the bus is now completely covered in blood as well. After asking around it seemed like apparently the three men and the bloody man had gotten into an argument and started beating each other up. (i do have a photo of the bloody bus, i could share it in the comments)

I understand the safety of others and the bus driver is extremely important, but why aren’t busses stopping in these circumstances? Why aren’t the police being called? Shouldn’t the bus be cleaned and refuse more passengers because of the biohazard in the back? This is definitely not the first time i’ve experienced this happening (especially on the D17) and every time the bus just keeps going like nothing is happening, with no attempt to even kick off the rowdy passengers. What happened to those bus safety officers they were talking about?

But hey, you know what they say. “Welcome to Winnipeg!”

Trinket Boxes/Trinket Trades??

You’ve heard of little free libraries, now get ready for trinket trade boxes!! Does anyone know of any trinket trade boxes that are set up around the city? Maybe downtown area? I was kind of thinking of setting up one of my own actually but I’m not sure how popular it would be. I yearn for the trading of trinkets…

It’s my last day at my practicum placement, and I wanted to give my preceptors a nice thank-you gift for being so supportive during my time. Alas, when I finally get to work I find… 9 timbits…. Instead of 10…

I can’t go back to ask for my last 2 timbits either, because it’s a 10 minute walk to the closest Tim Hortons.
