I got some okay photos of this guy as the light was failing me. He was not happy I was there but was not afraid at all.

I went to park my car and right in front of me not 10 feet this fellow sat on a post. He seemed unbothered by my presence so I took a couple low quality pics with my phone before he flew a few yards away up into a higher tree.

So I did a quick ph test and the soil is very alkaline. It’s a heavy clay soil. Will adding sulphur acidify the soil enough to correct this issue? Or do I need to do more soil testing to figure out the issue? Or is there something else I’m missing?

She was sold as a cream dapple. Father is a long haired cream, mother is a short haired black and tan dapple. Let me know your thoughts.

This cherry tree has struggled for the past 3 years. It has a crack that continued upward every year and won’t heal over. I don’t know how to treat the affected area or if I should just remove the entire tree.
