I ordered this from magicfly.com, and just open the bag. I got another bag with a different strain that I have had and those looked fine, but these are giving me the creeps. I’m not a super experienced user, and this is a hybrid of thrasher and hillbilly. The one that I broke in half and took an extra picture of looks like it’s covered in bacteria, and it’s just shaped weird. I think some of the darkness is from the mushrooms, releasing their spores, but I wanna be more certain before I consume, or let my friends consume. But I like to hear other thoughts on it.

It’s been less than a week since I did bulk to sub. I can’t tell if this is pin mold, or possibly cobweb. I just took the lid off my bin today and saw it.

If it is contam, what’s the guidance on throwing it in a large planting pot, covering with more dirt, and seeing what happens? I rent, so I can’t bury it in the actual ground. But I want to at least try to salvage it if I can. I’m an absolutely no rush, and plan to keep this guy going until I’m 100% sure it’s contamination. Does it need more FAE? The pattern reminds me of the fuzzy feet I had on my first grow.

First time using rye jars, and I wanna send these into my substrate, but now I’m feeling paranoid. It is a mixture of rye grain from Midwest grow, and I was very careful in the entire process. There is a mix of some very dark bits of rye in there from before inoculation, which is what I assume is what I am seeing. Should I just send it and see what happens?
