Bike paths and beers
I went for a ride with a mate up the Darebin Creek Trail to Mood Dog World a few weeks ago and it was a pretty nice way to spend a Saturday arvo. So Saturday just gone, we thought we’d check out the Dixon Veloway and some other new-to-us bike paths out west. After a couple of hours riding we stumbled across Hop Nation Brewing in Footscray. There were a heap of bikes in the racks and the place was full of cyclists getting on the beers. It was definitely a vibe and we left after a couple of pints vowing to do it again.

Picked up this 60cm CC in 2020 (drop bar photo as I bought it). I’ve been slowly tinkering away on it, learning a lot about what I like in a bike in the process. I think I’ve got it pretty dialled in, but the build is never done, which is just the way I like it.

Cross Check now (and then)
Bought this used in 2020 and have been slowly tinkering away on it. Got it pretty dialed in, but lately the shifting has been rubbish and the drive train is getting noisy. Finally checked my chain with a proper tool and it’s heavily worn out so there’s a new chain, chainring, and cassette incoming. Rims are next on the list. The build is never done which is just the way I like it.
