Okay This is An Interesting Question I've heard Recently "Why choose An Digital Marketing Agency and Pay them Monthly where i can Get better and Immedite result with Influencer Marketing and Same/ Lower Price"
So the Context is One of my Relative he owns an Furniture Shop he Said he wants More sales i suggested him to go on digital Marketing and I refered one of my Friend who does that. On the Pitch i Was Also there Understanding My Uncles's Requirement and What my friend Offers as an Agency.
The Pitch was Decent Like INR15k/month(Roughly USD 150) For 5 posters 3 Videos edit with scripts and An Ad Budget Included with SMM and Strategies. it was Decent. not Flashy but decent.
My friend he started to speak about the Metrics and Strategies it was going Good. But Suddenly My Uncles face changed Once he heard about 15k a Month and Average growth takes 3-6 months.
He Pointed Out and said "You guys Charge 15k for a Month where i can expect limited sales but if i give 75% of the money to the local Influencer i got 2Lakhs worth of orders in shorter Period of time without us Doing Anything ".
He wasn't kidding he did show Like an Locality influencer Gave Like INR 8K (roughly 80 USD) and got around 120 calls and Got around 2Lakhs Worth of Order(Roughly 2Grands USD) that too got by One video and One week and My Uncle Got his revenue Based on referrals as there was Quality and they keep Coming Back to Back.
While he asked it My friend Stuttered He has No words. And He said Like it won't help for Long time and these Influencers Wont last much yopu know Full on defensive. I realized that Question Broke Him, He stuttered alot he was trying to make things up
and Once again My Uncle Asked FOr that One video of Influencer I got the sale of this Amount.
Lets imagine Im Paying you for an Whole year can you give me enough sales than what the Influencer does for less than 10%.
Thinking this Actually made me wonder Like obvs every Business they dont care about How many views they get How many likes they want what Needs to get bread. ad even in his case the Growth of his Page Doesn't mean anything He needs to Pay salary to his workers and Furntiure shops they just rarely walks in
But this Same Question i asked to Others the most common thing i got replied is Like the influencers will eventually charge them more. they might go to another competitor For better money. But none of them addressed on the Main thing My Uncle and Like Most of People who do Business is Like they want leads They want Money they want thier Returns Faster they cant wait to be slow.
And some people say ads Sometimes It works but for these cases I dont rember the last time i clicked on an ad rather than some cool hoodies or events(Might be different for you guys) But the Outcome is the thing he Looks and His Outcome is Money.
What do you guys thinK about It. Even this question has been Bugging on my side. I have a tech company so I don't want an Influencer but if my clients ask like i want sales i want leads still I'm Like my friend Don't Know What to do
