Paid for my hair cut then locked my card. Received a notification that my payment was declined 20 min later?

Hi I got my hair done and paid 60 dollars . Got my receipt and everything. I didn’t notice that it never took the money out even though I got my receipt. I drove home and received a notification that the payment failed because my card was locked? I lock my card after each payment.

I don’t want them to not get paid for their work, how does this work? Will cashapp give them the money or will it say declined on their end too?

I never had a payment take 20 min after I already swiped and got the receipt.

You guys were right about old vans

I posted here a while ago on another account but I can’t get into that account. I bought an old van 1984 for $1000 because it’s all I could afford and I needed a place to stay. It was good for a few months low miles but I had to spend $400 dollars to replace the alt after a year, $280 for a new battery and today $300 for a new water pump.

I remember there were ppl saying it’s gonna cost more in the long run to maintain. I concede. You guys were so right. Hopefully I’ll be able to save up for a more recent van if nothing else goes wrong.

Do I have a case? Insurance canceled but still taken out of check.

Location: Atlanta, Georgia

Hi so I went to the doctor needing care but embarrassingly found out my insurance was canceled due to my employer switching our payroll company and not letting the insurance company know.

I was paying 92 a week for insurance and it’s still being taken out under “pre tax medical “ on my paystub. I informed my manager of this as it cancelled a month ago but I didn’t discover it until I needed my insurance. So it’s been getting taken out for weeks.

My issue is that he is vague and sometimes spiteful, I fear if I keep bringing it up my job might be on the line. All he said was “I’m working on it now” it’s been a week and I’ve heard nothing back. I really needed to go to the doctor and I’ve just got another check with the 92 being taken out but I’m not sure where it’s even going because it’s canceled.

I called the insurance company and they confirmed it was canceled the week of our payroll switching.

Is there anything I can do and if so what’s a reasonable time to wait before following through?
