Does this sound like a failing rear hub?
Hi everyone,
I think my VanMoof S3 most likely has an issue with the rear hub, but I’d like to hear what you all think.
When I roll the bike next to me, the pedals spin by themselves. Because of that, the motor support also starts as if I’m pedaling, so I can only roll the bike while keeping the brakes engaged, which is pretty annoying haha.
Ever since this issue with the pedals started, I’ve also been having problems with the e-shifter (without Error 44). Sometimes it suddenly stops shifting, and occasionally the pedals spin without driving the bike. What’s strange is that the e-shifter will sometimes work perfectly again for a few days, only to stop working again later.
Btw I also have a littttttle curve in my rear wheel. Super small curve.
Does this sound like a hub issue to you, or could something else be causing these symptoms? Has anyone experienced something similar?
Bike repair shops told me different things; one said that my shifter needs to be replaced (got it repaired 1,5 months ago…) , other said I need a whole new wheel, another one said that they can maybe try to adjust the hub a little bit to make it less tight or something.
