Took a swing at building a non-tech portfolio with decent momentum. What would you change?
Portfolio update 2026-05-13, +1.21% (+14.42% total)
Sold EFXT, bought STX. I also added VOO to the excluded stocks because I needed somewhere I could dump the rest of my money coming in regularly that wouldn't impact the portfolio or SPY/QQQ benchmarks.
Portfolio update 2026-05-08, +3.43% (+10.90% total)
A couple days late, but it was the weekend so it's okay. I sold FIX and TIGO and bought ANAB and FORM.
Sold AUGO and ERAS (finally), bought TIGO and FIX. Trying out my new work-in-progress dashboard.
Sold FORM and TNGX, bought WDC and EFXT. AXTI leveled off today but the big jump from DOCN was nice.
Sold DNTH and IRD, they have both flat-lined a bit so they dropped in my rankings. Bought AUGO and FORM (again) to fill in the top 10 spots. AXTI continues to climb. I wonder how long it will continue. The 3.37% total growth is based off the initial investment when I started tracking trades, that is why it doesn't match the screenshot. I realized I was using the wrong values there and will need to update my script a little to report the proper growth.
Traded BW for COHR. I have fully recovered the big drop on Tuesday at this point. I don't expect ERAS will be sticking around for much longer. When it drops off I will probably do a rebalance.
I created a bookmarklet for easier formatting on fidelity and quick G/L calculations of the portfolio I am actually tracking. Makes the screenshot easy.
Dropped FORM, bought DNTH. AXTI, CIEN, ERAS, IRD, and VIAV all did awesome today, and even the bad performers didn't drop too much. I am almost completely recovered from the big hit on Tuesday.
Sold AEIS (down to #13) in favor of IRD (up to #10). Overall slightly up, contributors are AXTI, LITE, VIAV, and DOCN. I will switch to posting after market close after today so I can get a more accurate G/L.
QQQ and SPY are there just as benchmarks. I intend to manage the other 10 pretty closely and swap them out when it makes sense.
