Just got hired! Clinic is asking for my personal medical history..?

Just got hired as a tech assistant part time and I’m onboarding, and my employer sent me some forms to fill out and they’re asking me about my primary care doctor, blood type, and medical history for emergencies…

I understand the importance behind it but I’m a little uncomfortable providing my medical history as I’m neurodivergent and get worried about discrimination. The medical history is required for me to submit this, would it be wrong to omit certain parts of my health history?

Why are snowier places like the Tateyama Alpine route closed during winter?

I apologize if this seems like a common sense question, I live in an area that never gets snow and I was curious on why these routes and places close down for winter. My partner and I traveled to Japan last winter and visited Takayama to find out the bus route to the Okuhida onsen towns was closed. I assume this is due to dangerous weather, but what do the residents there do? I assume people still live up there even during harsh weather. Is it safe to drive a personal car back and forth to bigger cities?

How can I learn my family’s dialect if no one teaches it here?

My mother speaks waray-waray and tagalog, and I’ve always wanted to be able to speak it. The times I had attempted as a kid, I got laughed at by my extended family and it pushed me away.

Now that I’m older it’s just left a hole in my heart, and I really want to be able to connect better as my cousins speak very minimal english.

I LOVE learning languages but it sucks as I’ve struggled with self-learning, and ultimately have only done well in academic settings with language courses.

How is it being ハーフ in Japan?

I’m not Japanese but I am mixed race (SE Asian/White) living in the U.S.

I was just curious on how the experience has been living and growing up in Japan, and if there were any similarities! I know the U.S. is diverse so I feel that there is more of a community feeling..? A handful of my childhood friends were also wasian, so I didn’t really feel too weird about my identity until probably elementary or middle school.

Did it ever feel difficult trying to fit in? Was there anything that felt more convenient because of being mixed race (Knowing 2 or more languages, exposure to multiple cultures, etc)?

In today’s media in the U.S., I feel like it’s a lot more common to see upcoming artists and actors that are wasian or mixed race in general and it’s interesting as I feel like when I was growing up there weren’t really people I could identify much with on the screen.

2nd round interview for front desk!

I’m really hoping I can leave a good impression, my first interview went really well and they invited me back for a 2nd interview. It’s supposed to be an hour long and a test day to see if I fit well with the position, and to meet the rest of the team and see how the place functions!

Should I dress as formal as I did for the first interview? All of the staff at the clinic wears scrubs so I’m just unsure.

I worked front desk at a pet daycare, so I’m hoping my skills can transfer over okay 🥹 They know I have no veterinary experience, however I’ve been very eager to learn! Any advice would be well appreciated, I want to do as much preparation and research as I can!

So sorry if this isn’t the right place to ask, I’m currently on the hunt to find a niche prize from the early 2010’s

or at least get more info on it from corocoro comics. It doesn’t seem like there are any forums for this, and I can’t seem to find any info on it from corocoro’s website.

Might be a shot in the dark on this, but it’s been an interest of mine to do more research! :-) I’m specifically looking for a particular video game console and I’m passionate about video game archiving.

I thought I was going crazy but I genuinely think my medication is varying in dosage every time I take it. I honestly thought I was imagining it, but some of my pills feel genuinely lighter… frankly some of them feel straight up empty.

I take generic Vyvanse, and a few times I thought about opening up the capsules to check. I haven’t done it yet, frankly just because I’m kind of lazy and I at least hoped and trusted that my pharmacy wouldn’t tamper with my prescriptions???

During times of desperation during some of the pretty bad med shortages, I would halve and portion my dosages so one dose could last 2 days… and I could tell the difference and it sucked but being unmedicated would have been far worse. Now when I take my medication as directed, it feels just like this. It feels like I’m not taking the proper labeled dosage.

How do I even explain this to my psychiatrist? Going up in dosage is not an option, I react pretty bad to dosage increases and what Im prescribed is what we found to be optimal (when it’s consistent at least).

edit: I forgot to mention but nothing in my routine has changed, and I do still have days where my medication seems to be normal too but it feels like I’m playing a game of roulette every single day now. My eating habits are the same, water intake is the same, sleep is the same. I’ve also been prescribed ADHD meds for 6 years, Vyvanse probably only 2– but I know that this isn’t normal.
