For anyone curious, here’s who I’m voting for:

With concerns about possible added traffic from the new 2nd Street parking ramp, I started wondering whether Rochester should study an aerial gondola(or other winter-focused mobility options)to connect Cascade Lake, Saint Marys, and downtown.

Modern gondolas operate in snowy climates, use relatively little ground space, and can cross busy roads without occupying street lanes. I’m not suggesting this is necessarily the best solution, but would it be worth comparing with options such as improved transit, enclosed moving walkways, or automated electric shuttles as Rochester continues to grow?

What do you think would be the biggest obstacles? Cost, wind and ice, route location, privacy, ridership, or something else?
