"Here we go again…" A newbie dares to speak. Let me save you the downvote
Let me go ahead and get this out of the way for you so you don’t have to strain your fingers typing it:
“Use the search bar!” “Did you even read the FAQ?!” “Oh look, ANOTHER post about ETV, I’m so exhausted!”
There, I did it for you. You can all relax now.
Can we talk about the absolute superiority complex some of the "veterans" in this sub have? We get it. You’ve been in the program for five years, you know exactly how to review a merged listing, and your garage is overflowing with 0 ETV cake toppers and castor oil packs. You are basically Amazon royalty.
But the way some of you gatekeep this sub and aggressively downvote anyone who asks a question is wild. Heaven forbid a new person gets dumped into a confusing program with massive tax implications and vague Amazon rules, and comes to a community forum to ask for help. The sheer horror!
We all had to start somewhere.
If you are all genuinely this traumatized by seeing repetitive questions on your feed, here is a wild concept: Keep scrolling.
Or better yet, since the mods here are actually pretty great and doing their best, maybe you should petition them to change the pinned FAQ to include a giant, neon warning sign that says:
"WARNING: If you ask a question that has already been answered, you WILL be targeted with extreme snark, mercilessly downvoted, and treated like an idiot by the Vine Elites."
At least then people would know what kind of welcoming committee to expect before they post.
Until then, maybe take a deep breath. It’s a subreddit about reviewing free junk from the internet. It’s really not that deep.
Feel free to downvote this to 0. I know it’s the highlight of your day.
