Hi everyone,

I just received my electricity bill, and it's almost double what I paid last month. My usage and daily routine haven't really changed, so I'm surprised by the huge increase.

I emailed EtihadWE about it, and they told me I can request a technician to come and inspect the meter. However, they also said that if the meter is found to be working properly, I'll have to pay a 500 AED inspection fee.

Has anyone been in a similar situation? Was the issue actually the meter, or did you find another reason for the high bill? Is it worth requesting the inspection?

Any advice or experiences would be greatly appreciated.
