It’s Monday, and I couldn’t help but think of how complicated the week will be, how bizarre this car is (electronically speaking) and then, I thought of George Costanza. Just one of the many moods, many shades, of my daily 04’ Arc 9-3!
Context: 04’ 9-3 Arc convertible….I live in central Jersey and the roads are trash. Recent knocking knocking that occurs when I reverse, and squealing noise when I turn the wheel in either direction, however only in reverse. I do know that my clutch is in dire straits….anyone? Bueller?
Anybody out there ever have trouble with their CIM going bad in the steering column, or a bad immobilizer? I recently replaced the ignition switch in my 2004 9-3 Arc convertible in an effort to address this constant issue of the car not starting and subsequently delivering the message, “Steering lock engaged. Pull out key, turn steering wheel and try again”. I can always move the wheel freely, it never feels “locked”. Also, I’m not getting any codes on my Tech 2. Help!
