This hall was my last preference but I just got an offer here. What should I expect as a nonlocal who can’t speak canto nor mandarin 😭
I met my conditions and has been sent a conditions met email. Just asking what does a firm admission look like? Is it that email or is it another email
Is Hku good compared to regular/non ivy us unis? How good is it in terms of international reputation

I just passed my soft copies tonight, do you think I’ll be able to get my visa before the end of August?
I applied to both jcvi 3 and 2 and I’m just curios, I heard that there were hazing issues pre pandemic. Is it still a rampant issue today as a non local?
Hello everyone, how did you total your estimated cost of living? Or just add it as is. Did you multiply your monthly cost by 12 and added it to your school fee? Or just add it as is

I’m in a really tight budget, so what’s the best undergraduate hall (preferably not St. John’s) for a female int student?
I’m a international student from the Philippines and would like to ask if going to uni here is worth it? I have a backup which is the top school in my country but is far fetched from Hku has to offer, especially since it doesn’t specialize in my course (science). My only problem is going to Hku would be mean saving up each year to pay for my tuition the next year. It would be hard for my family but doable if I do good. But I’m deliberating if going to the school is worth it for my future, knowing I don’t even speak the language.
I am a female international student with a budget of 30kHkd for my stay in Hku. I have 0 proficiency with Cantonese. May I ask what is the best hall for a student like me, who’s willing to do twin room? Just not st John’s since it’s out of the budget.
The title basically. Just met my conditions today and I’ve just been informed I don’t have an entrance scholarship. So are there any other scholarships I can apply for or are the HeforShe scholarships results out?
Hku just sent an email that they made me a visa acc. Does that mean I made my conditions
