With this spacing what would you do?

8 foot ceilings but it’s the popcorn surface since it’s an older apt complex.

14 feet wall to tv wall (77 A95L)

Living room extends to kitchen so it’s sort of bigger open room, to the right of the kitchen, then to the right of the kitchen is the hallway that leads to the bedrooms.

I could probably pull out the couch by around the foot from the wall.

Old soundbar died, so considering an avr setup or the Sony quads which just went on sale for 2k I think at Best Buy. Would need a sub with that.

Any suggestions before I buy these ?

I already have a receiver. It’s an older Denon that a coworker gave me, I’d have to check the model, but he got it about two years ago and he said it’s really good so I plan on using that with this set up.

Was trying to stay around the same price as the Sony quads and the new Bravia sub theater 9 because that was the alternative which I was going to go with. There was a nearby store that had this in their demo room and I was really impressed but for the price point I feel like I should at
Least check out buying everything separately. Not really an ideal space but trying to make it work with what I have.

Need some pointers on equipment - May return Sonos and Sony bundle and piece together a system with a budget 3-3.5k

Recently purchased both the sonos arc immersive bundle (bar, sub, 2xera 300s) and the sony quads with theater 9 sub to see which one i'd like. I live in an apt in LA so spacing isn't the most ideal (couch is against wall). TV I'm using is a Sony A95L.

really love both tbh so far, have 60 day return window at best buy. The Sony feels more home theaterish, but for the budget, am starting to think building it piece by piece may be the way to go. Sony bundle was around $3400 with the new sub and the Sonos bundle was over 3k, so would like to stay in that budget range.

I'd have to factor in someone to come put this together because I have 0 knowledge on connecting home theater equipment.

Couldn’t decide on which audio set up to get so purchased a Sonos arc immersive bundle(bar, sub, and 2 era 300s) and also purchased the Sony quads with the new sub theater 9. just plan on returning whatever one I don’t like.

Out of the box, the Sonos is nearly obnoxiously loud. I do live in an apartment so I do have trouble putting it past volume level 50ish.

I am using a Sony A95L as the center channel with the quads, and after testing it out today, I really struggled to find a volume balance. At times I needed to put it to level 65 for some reason and it just seemed very, very quiet.

i work for a jewelry store and we have a rather antiquated system of dealing with invoice/memos when it comes to diamonds and record keeping. I’m trying to update how we go about keeping these records, since currently, everything is kept in old school paper binders, and to track where diamonds go (returns, invoice to memos, barcodes, sold, etc), we have to manually look them up each week and update these with pen on each line item. This is extremely time consuming and has become the worst part of my week.

What program would you recommend to use to update this method? The main issue is that when we get a parcel of diamonds, lets say from a large diamond vendor, there will be for example, 20 line items of single diamonds, often GIA Certified. Each line will be barcoded separately using our proprietary software. So could a program that keeps track of diamonds that switch from Memo to Invoice, also divide the parcel into 20 line items in the program where we could keep track of where they all go?

I live in a 2 bedroom apt with an odd shaped living room (large windows on the big back wall and a patio door to a balcony). Our couch is against the wall so the rear speakers (if any) have to placed on the wall or on stands near the couch.

The soundbar I had recently crapped out (Samsung 990D) and best buy gave me a credit for original purchase since i have total tech. Was debating on getting the Sony Quads with the new Sub 9. A friend of mine has the Quads with the Sub 5 in a similar spaced apt and it was impressive. I also have the Sony A95L 77" to use as a center channel. =

The question is altho I'm using the credit for the 990D, the total cost for all this is gonna be pushing 3k. Would a custom home theater setup be the better way to go despite my spacing and probably lack of options to conceal cords/cables?

A while back I bought a Samsung Q990D. It was pretty good. I got it on sale but after seven months, it completely stopped working and Best Buy ruled it defective and with total tech they just gave me the price of what I paid for it in credit.

I wanted to slightly upgrade and a coworker of mine has the Sony quads with that sub and it sounded great. I’ve also been told the new Sonos set up is much better than the previous one, but I have no experience with either. The relatively close in cost. I think going the Sony route might be a few hundred dollars more. I mean the entire sound system would be mainly used to watch movies and television.

Was wondering if anyone had experience with either one
