can i get a refund from AF PH if i can’t use my membership abroad?
hi po! not sure if anyone here has had the same experience, but would really appreciate some advice :(
i moved abroad 5 months ago, but my af membership is still registered in ph. since moving, i’ve been working out at af branches here abroad while still paying my monthly membership in pesos through my ph home club.
my annual contract with my ph branch is ending by the end of this month (august). recently, the af branch here abroad called me out kasi they can see daw sa system nila na i’ve been frequently using one of their branches. they told me that i need to have my membership transferred to them.
i reached out to my home club in ph to ask what the process is. they told me na automatic naman daw yung membership transfer, so i was advised to just let it be. but the af branch here abroad kept contacting me and eventually told me that they would block my access across the entire country because i wasn’t being responsive.
the problem is, i literally just paid my monthly membership fee sa ph, and now that i’ve been blocked here abroad, i can’t use my membership at all. like, i paid for the month but i basically have zero gym access.
i already requested a refund from my home club in ph since i can’t use the service anymore, but they haven’t been responding to me.
so now i’m wondering, where or how can i dispute this? sayang naman yung one month membership fee if i can’t even use the gym because my access was blocked.
the af branch here abroad offered na i can just sign up as a new member with them, but that means i’ll be tied into another 1 year contract. honestly, i’d rather have an open contract since i’m already abroad and i don’t know how long i’ll be staying here.
has anyone experienced something similar with their af membership after moving abroad? what did you guys do? and is there a proper way to dispute the payment/refund with my ph home club?
any advice would be super appreciated!
