Weird Spare Tire Carrier Question

Question for y’all. I have a 93 Eddie Bauer edition and the spare carrier seems to be mounted in a weird way that I can’t find anywhere else online. It’s mounted to the body on top like normal, but the lower arm is mounted to a bolt that goes thru the rear bumper rather than attaching to the body under the tail light. Does anyone know if this is factory or is it maybe an aftermarket fix? I don’t see any holes where the carrier would have attached under the tail light, but I haven’t had a chance to run a magnet around the area to check for bondo.

Pics to show what I’m talking about. Black is an example of what I know, blue and tan is my baby

Edit: I added a pic of the top part of the carrier down in the comments

Frankenstein’s Bronco

I was watching some random video about some 80s car, and it had one of those cool instrument clusters that I can only describe as “cyberpunk”.

So the question is this: Does anyone know if one of those dashes has ever been slammed into a Bronco? Or ever an F150? I’ve got a 93 Bronco that I’m restoring, but my brain won’t shut up about it until I ask about it.
