What is the academy like and what everyones favorite and least favorite parts about the academy?

As the title suggests does anyone have any tips for studying for the police academy? I never truly studied throughout both high school and college so Im not really sure where to begin to build good habits. I also want to be able to retain the information thats taught and not just try to memorize it for the test cause I know I'll probably forget it afterwards.

So as the title suggests I got a call back from the nysp to go in for my interview with the background investigator. I am beyond thrilled and admittedly very nervous. What are some things I should know or keep in mind for the interview? I know to show up early and to wear buisness attire (suit and tie.)
