What can I say? I just really dig the Hige weaves. This IS, however, notably beardy-er than my Grey Hitoe Hige Kimono, and a little softer, too. Both are real silk (I don't buy/wear polyester), but the Haori feels more like it may have been woven of Habutae - anyone know if that's a Thing?

To paraphrase Edith from Despicable Me: It's so beardy that I'm gonna die! :D

MoFi Pressing - 2 12" 45rpm discs, sounds like the band is in the room with me. A little bit Pricy, but well worth the money, and I'll back that assertion with violence if need be (I'm Gen X, dude).

Seriously: if you haven't heard of MoFi, look them up. The sound is worth every dollar. :D

Arguably one of the Greatest Compilation Albums of the 80s

My Hypersonic Trio! 1/2-Speed Mastered in 25kHz sound, I consider these to really be 3/4 of a 4-Disc Suite by Geinoh Yamashirogumi - Just waiting for Ecophony Gaia ("Disc 4") to get it's Hypersonic Release. Yamashiro did a boatload of Audio/Vibrational Science to give these vinyl discs as much Impact as humanly possible, and they sound AMAZING. My Personal Favorite Track is TETSUO, followed closely by SHOHMYOH.

Sorry it took me so long to post this (this is Post 2 of 5), but Ecophony Rinne was slow in transit, then I got hit with 4 days of Jury Duty...

1st Pressing from '82, original Hype-Sticker intact (on Shrink, not Cover). I got it about 18mos ago, Shrink still sealed. It's been played about 5-6 times, sounds AMAZING. I could still smell the 80s (cocaine & wine coolers) when I broke the seal... 😃

The Zappa in the background wasn't planned, but is a Nice Touch for the Photo, as both Bozzios and Warren Cuccurullo played with Zappa before forming Missing Persons. I honestly wish I was clever enough to take credit for composing this shot like this, but it was just dumb luck, to be honest.

Just to get this part out of the way early: Photo Credit is Unknown, but it's titled "My Japanese-Looking Uncle", and I think I ran across it on TripAdvisor.

My Question is: Is this a Big-Sleeved Hanten? It looks like this August Ojisan is wearing a Hanten configured to fit over his Yukata sleeves, and that is 1000% Pertinent To My Interests! I'm super-fond of the giant sleeves as well as the batting-filled shell (ideally Quilted to keep the Fill in-place), but I can't tell if this is a filled hanten or just some sort of Haori For Yukata...?

What can you fine folks tell me about this garment, as I'm hoping to pick up a nice Hanten on the cheap in this upcoming Warm Season...

Got kimono/haori that you don't really wear anymore? Get a mask and some wall-hooks!

I really enjoy this one, as the little battery-light on my smoke detector shines down on it in the dark JUST Enough to make it a super-creepy shadow...

(Yes, it took a couple of weeks, but my wife HAS gotten used to it)
