Need some insight on a Necron ability
I am very new to warhammer, I’m holding off on buying my ork stuff because I’ve been told the 11th edition codex will be coming out soon, I’ve been playing tabletop sim games against my friend and my brother (Friend is necrons, brother tyranids) and I can’t understand how I can beat necrons while playing as my ork army.
My friend’s C’tan shard of the deceiver has an ability necrodermis and from the games we’ve played I can’t kill it because all my damage 1 attacks get negated and he makes sure to focus my big damage units first. After searching how to deal with this ability I think that the ability can’t reduce damage to 0 but I don’t know for sure. The damage characteristic says that you can only reduce damage to 1 after all modifiers are added unless there is a rule saying otherwise and the ability never states that it can negate damage, only that is takes off one damage
My friend wouldn’t purposely try to get away with changing the rules cause I’m new I just think he doesn’t play against people using low damage weapons like my orks, but I want to make sure I’m correct in this before telling him about it incase he’s been playing his favourite army slightly wrong
TLDR: Can the Necrodermis ability negate 1 damage attacks to 0 damage?
