The future of the Sprite Garden

The future of the Sprite Garden

If Sprites are a permanent addition, what’s going to happen 4-5 seasons from now if there’s 400-500 different Sprites in the game? What about 1000? Do yall think they will continue adding a ton of new Sprites + variants each season or will there be less in future seasons?

Will you really be able to go to your friend’s Sprites Garden and see every single Sprite that they have running around?

One of the many reasons Dear Agony is my favorite and in my opinion the best BB record (long post)

Even when I was struggling with the booze, I don’t think I ever had the thought that I wanted to “drink myself to death”. That’s some heavy shit. I cannot imagine what Ben has all gone through in his head and in his personal life, all I can do is appreciate his strength and his art

To be going through addiction like that while being the frontman, the name of the band, and the one who writes basically all of the music, is incredible. We are lucky asf he is still with us and that this band is still around. Or ever came back after the Valora Blow Me Away shit.

People may often criticize about how repetitive Ben’s lyricism these days is, but as somebody who also is an artist who has struggled with addiction, I can personally attest to the fact that the way you approach your art, and feel your art, is entirely different when you’re drunk/high. And when you sober up, you have to form a completely new approach. Sometimes, you ain’t even feel motivated anymore. You don’t feel like an artist anymore. Like the driving force of your inspiration is gone. Often times substances can open that window into all those deep down feelings you don’t share, and you’re able to make art from it. This is why notably most of the most well known and respected musicians of all time across all genres have been folks who have struggled with addiction at some point. And not just addiction, many artists have demons besides addiction, and the pain from that fuels the art. Brings it to life.

And so I give Ben massive credit for not only sobering up, after drinking for *way* longer than I did, and somehow not dying, but staying on release schedule and going on to drop in my opinion the best Breaking Benjamin record, Dear Agony. Despite the fact he no longer had his substance of choice. In spite of it.

We all know he’s got permanent illness due to his drinking as well as other health issues. And he still continues to create not just because it’s his passion and survival mechanism, but for the fans. And we love him for that.

Shoutout Benjamin Burnley fr. I genuinely believe he is one of the GOATs of his respective genre and you cannot change my mind
