What's your preferred scanner for INSTAX photos?

I’d love to have a digital backup of my INSTAX photos, as well as better-quality scans for sharing online. There seem to be loads of options out there, from scanning wands and small dedicated scanners to large A4 flatbed scanners.

I’d love to hear what people here are using and how you find the results. Is there a particular method or scanner you’d recommend?

Once A City, Now A Town [INSTAX Mini 41]

A few photos from my day out there.

Rochester became a city in 1227, and accidentally became a town in 1998.

First attempt at Urban Photography [INSTAX Mini 41]

Usually I stick to landscapes and wildlife photography, but I decided to step outside my comfort zone and try some urban photography. I'm really pleased with how this image turned out, I think it has a nice mix of interesting elements, with the graffiti, waterfront, and industrial background all working together.

Marsh Adventures [INSTAX Mini 41]

Another hot day, they seem to never end in England at the moment. Thanks to that though, the water has dried up more than I've ever seen before, allowing me to walk where it's usually underwater. The water itself isn't safe to walk through, so this is somewhere I've never managed to get to before. Still a bit of a dangerous walk though, as the mud can often give way despite looking solid.

It does look slightly crooked, but the more I looked at it, the more I wondered if it's just an illusion. I think it's because of the higher tree line on the closer shoreline compared to the lower tree line on the far side, but let me know what you think.

It got my holographic sticker because it's one of my favourite shots. It was a really nice walk, followed by an ice-cold Coke.

Great Expectations [Instax Mini 41]

The whole church wasn't visible in the viewfinder, so I had to trust my experience with the camera to get the framing right. I even had to crouch into a bush in the corner to get the shot. It was worth it though, it's now my favourite photo.

It's nice that getting into Instax photography has given me another reason to go out on my motorcycle. Hopefully there'll be many more rides and photo opportunities to come.

The children's graves in the churchyard are widely believed to have inspired the opening scene of Great Expectations, where Pip visits the graves of his parents and five siblings before meeting the escaped convict Magwitch.

Sunlit Rails [INSTAX Mini 41]

Still working on my framing, but I'm happy with this one. The house and power lines on the side add a little character and keep the composition from feeling too plain.

Where can you buy the Kodak Charmera in the UK?

I can only find them on eBay. Generally, I don't like ordering from eBay because of the potential issues with returns, seller communication, and the risk of counterfeit items. If that's the only place they're available, then I'll probably take the plunge. I just thought I'd ask first in case there was another option.

I normally buy online through Amazon, but at the moment it's only being sold as a complete box for around £210 because the individual item is out of stock.

I also don't mind going to a physical shop if you know of anywhere that has them in stock.

First time driving to a location for a picture.

It’s nice to use my motorcycle for leisure rather than work commutes!

I've reached the "A two high fence would have the same effect" stage of building this huge wall.

I've tried to build more "minecrafty" rather than medieval, modern etc... and I decided to do this before mining, so it's mainly been done with copper tools.

The wall needs to do a 90, continue past the base, then do a 90 back to shore, and I haven't even done the other side of the wall yet or completed the roof of any of it...

A new way to make 1 block pens?

All it takes is 2 snow carpets and 1 moss carpet, though it does have to be on flat ground, I know when Honey blocks were added, people talked a lot about using them to make 1 block pens, but I'm unsure if this method has been found before, and it is vastly cheaper, anyway, very useful if you didn't know, and a good use for snow for me, would love to know if anyone else has posted about this!
