"Dear students, my name is Danielle Moonstar. I have been in your shoes before, and I know how difficult it can be to be studying at this school while dealing with the world. I may not be the generalist telepath that Professor Frost is; however, my mutant abilities and learned experiences still make me more than qualified to aid you all in whatever mental issues may be ailing you, be they those that take the gentle touch of a therapist or those that take the more direct telepathic approach. I do hope that you will come find me in my office or while with Brightwind around campus or at the stables."

Mutantkind was all picking sides, Scott or Emma, aggressive supremacy or manipulative coexistence.

In the past, when her friends had sided with Frost in their times of trouble, she judged them and left them to figure it out. But Dani was no longer the same girl who thought she could control life and death herself, and she now saw the value in Emma’s strategy. A few of her more radical former classmates had already left for Scott’s “Utopia,” namely Sam and Illyana, with Tabby still on the run but likely to stay with Sam. Meanwhile, Xuân, Beto, and Rahne were all still remaining behind, just as Dani planned to do.

The youth at the school still needed leadership, and who better than the co-leader of the New Mutants, the former Valkyrie, the mutant who stayed with mutantkind despite being depowered. She had seen the future where mutantkind reigns supreme, and where mankind responds to their aggression before, and was determined to avoid them both at all costs.

Securing Brightwind in the school stables, Dani approached the school, ready to give Emma the chance she never gave in her youth. One more time, for the children.
