I see fics always talk about Occlumency like it’s a super power, Sherlock Holmes Esq mind palace. But think about it in different terms

Bottling up your emotions (possibly for years) could cause you to go crazy from the stimulus if you release that cork at once.

Projecting a false self to fool a legimens could cause a split in your personality, not being able to tell who the real “you” is.

Perfect organization of your memory could cause mental problems like OCD or similar.

If you go with the common perfect memory angle you have the problem of being able to recall all of that trauma you’ve gone through in perfect detail knowing the full emotional weight.

Not to mention in general how dangerous it would be to mess with the organization of your mind, especially turning it into a 3D space vs the conceptual space it was previously, who knows what unintended consequences there could be!

Just an interesting idea, it’d solve a lot of questions if you include it in the HP mythos. No one can find it, despite the intelligent water dwelling creatures existing, because it’s a relatively small boat.

No one looks for a civilization’s ruin inside a ship crash!

Imagine the disaster itself, maybe the expansion charms fail suddenly turning miles into meters.

I feel like it makes sense that if they have a literal piece of his soul they should be able to attack him in some way. I mean for it to be an anchor it surely has to still be connected to him somehow right? I mean he’s connected to Harry so why not the other ones? Any fics where they use that connection?

I was just thinking on canon epithets like “Copy ninja Kakashi” or “the yellow flash” and “Noble blue/green beast” and I think about where you could go with them.

I remember one fanfic where sasuke was thinking back on his family like “i curse Itachi of the sharingan for killing Mikoto of the sharingan and Fubaku of the sharingan” and just having a running joke that every uchiha got that epithet.

So any funny or cool ones you’ve come across?
