Why am I so big?

I gave birth in November 2024 to my son.
I gained 70 pounds. He was 8lbs 1oz and I had preeclampsia. I started showing at 6 weeks having already gain 10 lbs.

I had a miscarriage at 9 weeks in September 2025. I gained 10 lbs.

I am 22 weeks pregnant and I’ve already gained 29 lbs. My ob said I’m too big when she measured my belly. She even tried to push my fundus down to make my measurement smaller but she said I was still big. I am going to have preeclampsia this time but I’ve been taking baby aspirin to prevent it.

I don’t know why I get so big? Do I just make a lot of room for my babies? Does my body just overreact to pregnancy? I feel heavy so heavy all the time.

Can my baby swing be fixed?

I got this swing brand new with my first baby. I saved it and I am now pregnant with my second, I was wondering if it can be fixed if not I will toss it and ask for a new one at my baby shower.

It’s missing this silver part on the top left leg and it causes the leg to slip out which is dangerous because the swing, swings and move.

Solution: The 6 mm push button spring clip fit perfectly!

What do you do when you go into labor and have a toddler but no family or childcare?

I'm currently pregnant and I have a 1-year-old. It's just me and my husband. We don't have any family or friends that can or want to help.

Even attending my prenatal appointments are difficult because my toddler is very active. He runs around and won't sit still, and thankfully one of the nurses usually helps by sitting with him while my OB examines me.

What I'm most worried about is when I go into labor. I’m a stay at home mom and I’m home most of the time, so there's a good chance labor will start while I'm home alone with my toddler. My husband works Monday through Friday, about 45 minutes away, and he's our only source of income. If he leaves work, he'll lose pay, but I'm scared of waiting too long because of what happened with my first pregnancy.

With my first, I developed severe anemia and preeclampsia. My blood pressure reached 200/100, and I had to have an emergency induction. It was a very scary experience, so I'm terrified that if I don't get to the hospital in time, something could happen to me or my baby.

And it was confirmed I will have preeclampsia this time. So I’m even more worried because I was in the hospital for days and I wasn’t allowed to get out of the bed because of the medication I was on. So there’s no way I could take care of my son if I get admitted early again.

what happens to my toddler if I have to go to the hospital before my husband gets home? If I can't drive and have to call an ambulance, will they allow my 1-year-old to ride with me? And once I get to the hospital, what happens while I'm in labor if there's no one there to care for him?
Has anyone been in a similar situation? What was your plan, and what ended up happening?
