I'd like to thank the other player for volunteering to be the pelota in the new game of vehicular Jai Alai
I'm not normally a chaos reloader user but two shotting someone at full health is pretty nice
Even on this video it's hard to see that the jumping first shot hit for well over a 100. Had to go into the replay to see how hard it hit.
Second one after running inside to not get uppercutted into oblivion is a lot more obvious
The unlimited stamina while pickaxe is equipped just makes so many new plays available
Being able to get around a challenging last circle location without having to burn uppercuts to just land next to someone waiting to shoot you is awesome. Great change.
The beginning of the game fights will sometimes be some of the most entertaining
There are parts that make me laugh within the context of the plot, and then there are parts that make me laugh because they're just so ridiculous. This is one of my favorites of the second type.
Elle: Some of the sluggalos heard him insult her, and you know how protective they are of Imani, so they tore off after the goat even though he’s flying. Half of them are sliming their way across naga territory whooping their weird little heads off, leaving rivers of their orange goo everywhere. The other half took one of the carts.
I cursed. We needed the sluggalos for full coverage of the naga castle. Then what she said registered.
Carl: Wait, they stole a cart? How? How are they driving it?
Elle: Not very well, let me tell you.
The "can't sprint from a crouch" bug darn near ended me, but this was a fun rivalry
To be fair, based on the end, I think the other player was dealing with the same bug
Anyone else unable to log in currently?
Just stuck on the "Logging in..." spinning wheel
From this description in the book:
"We settled into a small booth as the show started. We watched a group of crawlers in Tokyo as they ran from a woman wearing a surgical mask and carrying scissors. One crawler turned and hit her with a spell that caused vines to grow from the ground, and the woman ripped through the vines easily. She slashed the throat of the crawler"
This is the only mention. If you were curious, this is a real myth in Japan. The monster described is Kuchisake-Onna, or the slit mouthed woman. She's been featured in a lot of media, which is how I recognized the description, but I find the above interaction interesting. Assuming in DCC she behaved like the myth, it means the crawlers failed the "Am I pretty" prompt she asks potential victims.
Wikipedia has a decent write up of the folklore:
<Note added by Crawler Azin. 17th Edition> Spiders. By the gods, why? In our world, they only exist in myth, but apparently they’re a real thing and are common in the universe. What sort of nightmare must the Creators have been having to design such a thing?
<Note added by Crawler Tin. 21st Edition> I don’t know. I think they’re cute.
<Note added by Crawler Tin. 21st Edition> Never mind. Holy shit, never mind. Fuck spiders.
I really would love a standalone book about Drakea's season, and how he turned the screws on the Naga
Shockingly, we ended up winning this round
