[Task] Looking for videogame channel video editor

Hey, the idea would be to pay $15 per video. There is no extra sound effects, no vfx, no subtitles. I will just give you usually 4 or 3 POVs of a game, and then you edit the video ideally as a multi-cam sequence.

If you've edited videos like this already in the past then that'd be great. But if you haven't and are just familiar with video game content, that works too.

I recommend doing this if you have premiere since the multi cam sequence editing will save you a lot of time. To start would be 1 video a week, and I can pay through paypal.

How do I convince my gf to let me make memes for her business

My gf is making a buisness and that's cool whatever. But I realized I can make memes for her, but she thinks it's a terrible idea because it's unserious for the branding. She let me make one meme, and if it underperforms won't let me do it again.

I want to make more memes.

Please advice.

EDIT:

I did speak with her and show her the thread. She said I can try every once in a while making posts on the tiktok page for memes since apparently it receieved normal interaction when compared to her other posts.

I'm just happy I can make memes and also support her in doing so. Thanks for the feedback, I didn't expect it along with people DMing me better approaches.

Also for the few that commented or reached out confused, an Iron cookie is a cookie with iron supplement (she has anemia and doesn't like the pills)

What are red flags that make you turn down projects?

I had a cool project I found on Reddit and was honestly looking forward to it. Was going to be paid to submit a trial piece edit and honestly it was an action shoot so I didn't mind it since it's not what I normally do.

I tried planning like a 10 minute call, to make sure our visions and goals aligned. (I don't really need this project, I work full-time. Purely for the love of the game).

Wow, coordinating a 10 minute call made it get pushed back to three seperate days. And the worst part was he picked the times/days. I started with "I'm free anytime today" "Let's do tomorrow" and by the third reschedule it turned into "Let's talk NEXT WEEK?".

Fellow editors and all creatives alike, if they can't schedule a single call correctly, then everything else is going to feel like pulling teeth. I say this as someone who has ignored early red flags. It's never worth it.

Was curious if you guys had personal red flags that make you nope out as well? In an ideal world this can also help producers know what not to do when approaching editors
