Need help with my dad's Gmail account

3 days ago, Google sent my dad an email saying a sign-in attempt was blocked because of suspicious activity. Today, he got signed out of his Google account and now we can't get back in. (I'm not sure if he got signed out today or just realised it today)

He doesn't remember the password, and the one we think is correct isn't working. When we click "Try another way," it only gives us options like Google Authenticator (which he never had), sending a code to his Gmail (which we can't access), or another recovery email that looks like "bra......@ou..... com". He doesn't recognize this email at all and has never used Outlook.

He also doesn't have backup codes.

Has anyone had something similar happen? Especially the unknown Outlook recovery email part? If you managed to get your account back, what actually worked?

Would really appreciate any help 😭😭😭

When I was younger, I randomly started putting small amounts into stocks here and there whenever I could afford to.

Back then I didn’t really have much money, and honestly I wasn’t thinking much about strategy either. I was just putting in whatever little I could.

Most of those investments are actually positive today, but because the amounts were so small, the returns still feel tiny.

Over the last few weeks, I’ve started investing again now that I’m financially in a better place. But looking at my portfolio now, it feels way too cluttered with too many random stocks.

Lately I’ve been feeling that it’s probably better to focus on fewer, stronger convictions instead of holding so many scattered positions.

One stock I’ve been thinking about adding more to is Vedanta. Since it’s falling today, it feels tempting to get more of it, and after the demerger as well, I just have a generally positive feeling about it long term.

Has anyone else gone through this phase of moving from a cluttered beginner portfolio to a more focused one?

How did you decide what was worth holding long term and what wasn’t?

okay so I saw something that's been bugging me!

Miss 23+ whatever influencer is selling iced tea sachets, ₹369 for 5, so like ₹74 a sachet.

And to justify the price she compared it to Sprite Zero being "₹75"

but Sprite Zero is ₹40 for 750ml?? where did ₹75 come from lol

And even if we ignore that, one sachet gives you like 200-250ml that you still have to mix yourself.

Meanwhile Sprite is 750ml ready to drink

So you're paying ₹74 for less than a glass of powder drink vs ₹40 for 750ml of an actual beverage.

That's not the flex she thinks it is,

am I missing something or is this comparison just completely cooked 🍳 🤔
