The first I knew of this was the police knocking on the door with a search warrant to seize devices.

Google had reported an image on my Google Drive as CSAM however this image was no longer on the drive and was not found anywhere on my devices. The police described the image to me and a) sounds like it’s a regular photo of kids at the beach and not CSAM so it was maybe misidentified by Google’s AI and b) I did not put the image their nor delete it. I don’t really use that Google Drive at all it’s basically empty.

Has this happened to anyone else? Or does anyone know HOW this could happen and go so far that I’m maybe facing charges of possession of CSAM when I have no knowledge of that image file!?! If someone else adds a file to my Google Drive do I then ‘posess’ it according to law?!? This is a very scary situation.

so yea ive lost my account and i remember the gmail, but....the problem is that i didnt make a recovery gmail or phone but i still have the IP address of that phone. can i retrieve it?

I have had a Google Account for 15 years or something like that. It is the bedrock from which all accounts I have sprout from. It is inarguably mine and never hasn't been.

Well I go to log into it for some reason I've forgotten and got the message, your account's password has changed 12 days ago. This was the most frightening thing because I've never given this to anybody. It's so personal that I don't see how this could have happened outside of a key logger, and at that point, why not just infiltrate my bank.

I attempt to do account recovery and follow all the steps that provides, Number one is receiving a code on an Authenticator App, which I download and upon entering my credentials, simply says that my account password has been changed 12 days ago.

So I need to use the updated, hacked password to access my authenticator in the event I get hacked, okay. I can also access the back up email I used to make the Google account with, which is a yahoo account. I try and log into the yahoo account and Yahoo says that it has been deleted due to inactivity.

What am I possibly supposed to do, there is no readily apparent solution to recovering my hacked account and Google makes themselves impossible to speak to. This account is tremendously important to me and I need access to it, it is the final recovery account for all of my current google accounts and if I lose access to it permanently, every other account is vulnerable, not to mention all the associated sentimental value of everything in my Drive folder.

I just had several hundreds of notes inside my iPhone note’s app under the Gmail folder which I got since my buying this new iPhone last year. These notes are not synced to Gmail. Today I went on Settings>Apps>Notes and toggled on the “On My Phone account” toggle which creates another folder of notes called “On My Phone” (under the toggle it said explicitly said other notes won’t be affected). Right after, all the notes under the Gmail folder disappeared for an unknown reason. I assume this is a glitch because that is not the intended function. I turned the toggle back off, the notes still won’t reappear. I signed out and back into the Gmail account on the iPhone, and the notes still won’t reappear and old synced Gmail notes from before these notes I lost appeared instead. The notes I lost are not synced to Gmail nor iCloud. I realize the notes were probably lost due to a problem with Apple, but they say they can't recover the notes. Doe Google have the notes on their server even if they did not get synced? Is it possible to recover the notes? It seems there are no google support humans to talk to. Thanks

Recently my 2 phones were stolen here in the Philippines as I was commuting back home now I have no access to my gmail account that I use for games (genshin impact, and such), is there way I can retrieve my gmail account because it doesnt have a recovery email and the mobile number inputed in the gmail account has been deactivated, I keep trying to remember my password but it doesn't seem like I'm able to remember it at all, I was told to try to log into the account where I created it (here in my house), but it doesn't seem to work at all, I can't find a possible solution for this problem, looking for advices.

Why does this happen at random? i could be minding my business then suddenly im out of youtube unless i verify its me i have 2 step verification authenticator, passkeys,phone number you name it all what happens that it just makes me panic, and the same happens to my other accounts that are tied together.
