I submitted 0 recommendation letters in my initial filing and I want to submit 7 in my RFE response.
I received an all prong RFE.
However, my lawyer is advising and strongly suggesting to keep it to 5 so that USCIS doesn’t argue that your RFE is built on so many recommendation letters?
How true is this? Did someone submit more than 5 recommendation letters in RFE response?

I’m a fifth-year PhD student graduating soon, and I recently received an RFE for my NIW petition. My proposed endeavor is in electronics/RF electronics supporting semiconductor manufacturing.
One thing the officer asked about is my future plans and how I intend to continue advancing my proposed endeavor in the long term. I’m struggling a bit with how to frame this properly. For example, if I mention working for a company after graduation, I’m worried it could be interpreted as employer-specific work and raise PERM-related concerns.
Has anyone here dealt with a similar issue in an NIW RFE? How did you discuss your long-term goals and future plans?

Hi everyone,
I recently received an RFE on my EB-2 NIW application and could really use some guidance.
Part of my work was on a project funded by the U.S. Department of Energy, but the RFE is asking for confirmation directly from DOE stating that I participated in the project and that they were aware of my involvement.
The issue is that due to organizational changes, the DOE program director I worked with has left and is now a professor at a university. I’ve already emailed him but haven’t heard back.
• Should I resend the email?
• Is there a better way to approach this situation if the original contact is unresponsive?
Also, I’m struggling with getting recommendation letters from government organizations. I’ve tried sending LinkedIn connection requests and emails, but either I don’t get responses or the requests aren’t accepted.
For those who successfully got letters from government or national lab professionals:
• How did you reach out?
• What did you say in your initial message/email?
• Did you mention NIW directly or frame it differently?
• Any tips on actually getting a response?
I specifically need letters that speak to the importance of my work/field (power electronics / semiconductor-related work), and right now I feel pretty stuck and honestly a bit hopeless.
