Better to mail in rollover checks or keep troubleshooting app?
Despite multiple customer service calls and tickets, I have yet to be able to log into the Vanguard app. I also tried the "Set up online access" link, which some people reported fixed the app log-in issue, but in my case, it ended in an error message saying that I needed to call Vanguard anyway.
Meanwhile, my rollover checks have been sitting around for almost a month (don't worry, I still have a few months before they expire). I've been hesitant to mail them in because I've heard horror stories about Vanguard losing them, but I'm losing faith in Vanguard's ability to actually help me log into the app. Tbh, I'm also wondering if I can just reach out to the old 401(k) co and ask them to cancel these and issue new checks to, like, Schwab or something.
What has been your experience with app log-in issues and/or mailing checks into Vanguard? TIA!
ETA: I can log in on the website just fine, and yes, I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, as well as trying it on other devices.
