Want input from experienced fushtank/aquarium keepers. I only use mild (and preferably unscented) soaps and moisturizers (dove sensitive skin specifically for soap. No antibacterial stuff ever). I also despise air freshners. None are allowed in my living space.
The only aerosols of possible concern would be the occasional insecticide spray for houseplants. But even then it's just odor and vapor. But I'm worried about residue on washed hands (I'm NOT spraying on my tank or on my plants on fish tank!!! It's on separate plants in my room)
So fill me in on the safety of preventing contamination of my tank from my hands.

Poor girl. She was doing SO well. Gave me 12 flowers, spikes almost 4 feet tall. Leaves about 3 feet. Fat bulb. All the leaves were upright. She even gave me a baby!
Then I had a surge in my ongoing thrips-pocalypse and lost track of her health. She was doing SO well that she was all root no soil in that pot. I didn't realize until too late and the water was stuck in the middle and her roots rotted.
I repotted and did all the treatment, but now she's got just a few scraggly root bits, not enough to support her once mighty greens. So she's lost all but one it seems. I just finally chopped them because she's stressed and they need to go so she can work on growing more roots.
What a bummer. I hope she will make it through ok. She's my first ever bulb and has put up with all my ignorant shit. Her bulb is small now, but firm. She should take time to grow new roots and maybe then grow more leaves. I plan to not make her go dormant this winter and just let her accumulate energy all winter.
Just a stupid doodle. I love nudibranchs. How's it feel to get eaten alive now huh?

What are yall's statements about shubunkin goldfish, specifically in terms of their health as a breed?
I want big fishy, but not koi.
Thinking about a 500gallon or bigger pond someday.
I absolutely adore the calico coloring and the tails, but they still look like normal fish.
They don't have weird body deformities bred into them (poor bubble eyed goldfish...)
So are they more healthy?

What would you say is an actual safe time eat by date for these microwave sealed pouches? The best by isn't really helpful in terms of the food's actual safety. I've heard 1 to 2 years, which makes this still safe, but is that legit?
Obviously it had no punctures, bloating, textures or smells.
I found several other pouches (of different kinds) that also have similar date ranges. I tossed any with tomato just to be safe. Is that a good idea?
While not Sangheili, I feel like I can still post this here! I really like their designs and tweaked it a bit. Colors are almost exactly like what's in the 2022 Halo Encyclopedia.

Complete newbie! First ever tank! I'm really happy with it. It's a 10 gallon low light tank meant to eventually house a betta and 1 mystery snail.
I still need to get plants and more perch spots for the betta. I also need to get a lid.
Right now is the 1st day of cycling! I added the API stress coat and quick start and put the few goldfish pellets i had soaking in a separate cup in to start the ammonia. I plan to just do phantom feeding for ammonia.
Lots of hiding spots and soon lots of plants!
Will test it in a few days with my master test kit.

Unsure of brand. I got it for free from a coworker who did use it for a fish tank, so I'm pretty certain it is meant to be for aquariums.
I'm just concerned because it appears to have been painted black and I've heard that can be bad.
Just want some I put before I put it in a new 10gallon planted betta tank I want to make.
