Does this custom mechanic sound broken?

Hello everyone! I'm a fan of Marvel United and the X-Men. However, as an owner of the X-Men core box, I find the mutants extremely underwhelming compared to the Season 3 heroes.

Recently, I've been designing some custom mechanics and would love some input on my designs, especially the one I'm least sure about: Storm.

My idea is to add four new Storm-exclusive cards that are not part of her deck, called Climate Cards. These cards have passive and active effects, and the active Climate Card can be changed at the end of each Storm turn:

  • Clear Weather: The starting Climate Card. Has no effect.
  • Windstorm: Every Hero's movement actions are doubled at Storm's location.
  • Heavy Rain: If the Villain ends their turn here, delay their next turn. Ignore the first damage taken here.
  • Snowstorm: Overflow effects can't trigger here.

To keep Storm's original abilities intact, I thought about adding them to the aforementioned cards as active effects that are triggered by Storm's player cards:

  • Atmokinesis: Two punches in any location. This would be Heavy Rain's active ability.
  • Goddess of the Weather: Relocate any heroes to different locations. This would be Windstorm's active ability.
  • NEW — Goddess of the Weather: Trigger your current Climate Card's active ability.

But that's not all. To fully embrace the fantasy of controlling the weather, I want to implement "super" abilities related to the Climate Cards:

Omega Tornado: 1 Move action. If Windstorm is active, 2 Punches at your current location and 1 Punch at each adjacent location. Then, change the Climate Card to Clear Weather.

Lightning Storm: No actions. If Heavy Rain is active, 1 Punch at every location. Then, change the Climate Card to Clear Weather.

Blizzard: 1 Move action. If Snowstorm is active, Overflow effects can't trigger here or at adjacent locations until the end of the next Villain turn. When the effect ends, change the Climate Card to Clear Weather.

So, what do you guys think? Does this sound broken? Do you have any suggestions for improvements? Constructive criticism is more than welcome!

I’m making this post to let other fighting game scrubs like me know how important boosted dashes are.

The campaign on hard felt almost impossible until I started using them, and they also improved my performance online quite a bit.

If you have a controller with customizable paddles, I highly recommend mapping them to Dash + Boost and Back + Dash + Boost. It made a huge difference in my experience with the game.
