Due with an our first baby and my husband is obsessed with the name Emmylou. I made the mistake of saying I liked the song, and now he’s completely jumped on the name. He’s put out feelers to his friends / family and they all say what a cute name it is. I agree it’s cute, but better suited for a pet, not our daughter. It’s just feels too “kiddie” for me? I can’t tell if I’m being too harsh and it’s actually a good name so would love some advice!!
Other information-
I really want her middle name to be Ann (after an Aunt who cared for me)
Our last name is Italian and ends in “-elli”
Names I like- Lyra, Colette, Clara, Serena, Lila, Cecelia, Rosalie
Other names he doesn’t hate- Harper, Hazel, Piper, Rye
I have a “weird” name that’s hard to spell and want a more “normal” name for our girl
