I never played the original Fable games but I'm told there was no fail state if you fell to 0 hp.

Seems weird to me, but I dont know the story or the lore. I was excited about this reboot, because it looks amazing, but I've never played any rpg that didn't have a fail state so idk how that would feel?

Did it work as a gameplay feature or did it just make combat monotonous?
