New 3% bonus

How does the new 3% bonus work?

It says it pays u upfront for the bonus amount but unlocks over time. But what happens if you have net outflows over the unlock period? - it says there might be clawbacks but how does that unfold?

Thanks in advance

USDC defi loan & and transfer in New York

In New York -have btc on coinbase with hundreds of sublots, (purchases, swaps, and a bulk are tiny lots from the coinbase credit card)

I want to transfer it to the eth network through cbBTC -> take out a USDC loan on aave and transfer it to my bank account back through coinbase.

My question is -> is sending it to he eth network a taxable event? (Not because im sending it to a new wallet but because its a different network.) The coinbase app doesn't do a swap or conversion when receiving or sending btc from any network, its all put into the same bucket.

Also will taking out that USDC loan count as income?

And lastly will cointracker be able to handle all this, will it correctly track the cost basis from coinbase to my eth address?

Thanks, in advance

New to precious metals investing, my goal is long term savings.

I bought a 2026 1oz maple leaf from APMEX, just wanted to test the waters before I purchased a meaningful amount. The order was under 200 so I paid for shipping and under 1000 so I paid tax - lesson learned on what to do next time.

Im very heavily gravitating to only buying government mint coins
(Eagles, leafs, Britannias, Krugerrand, kangaroos, philharmonics only. Just the bullion version not the proofs)

Two main reasons, for one I just like official coins and currency. The designs / history / minting process / that they have a face value even though it’s mainly just symbolic. I just enjoy coins infinitely more than bullion bars despite the premium.
The other main reason is their liquidity and trust that other rounds or forms of bullion don’t have.

I’m under the assumption that eagles are one of the most liquid and trusted forms of silver bullion - but the premium is pretty substantial. At the time of me typing this a tube of 20 sealed 2026 silver eagles is listed on APMEX at a rate of $97.55 a coin while spot is 78. Is that 25% premium worth it? Also will a coin dealer buy them from you with some of that premium priced in? - obviously they are not gonna give you the full 25% but buying something as an investment and starting already down 25% seems silly. I’m not buying these coins to get rich tomorrow to me this is a 10 / 15 year investment but something I can also look at and enjoy in the meantime, but still buying these and immediately losing 25% seems like a lot. I picked the leaf as my first purchase bc of the smaller premium.

I’m in the NYC / Long Island area, is there any coin dealers you recommend. I don’t have massive funds available for purchases, I’m not sure if that matters or not for in person dealers.

Any insight would be great, feel free to correct me if anything I said seems off.
