What part of reptile keeping did you underestimate before actually doing it?
When I first started looking seriously at reptile keeping, I noticed that a lot of things sound simple in care guides but become more complicated in real life.
Temperature, humidity, lighting, feeding, behavior, cleaning, seasonal changes, none of them are impossible, but they all require more consistency than beginners often expect.
For experienced keepers here, what part of reptile keeping did you underestimate before actually doing it?
Was it the daily routine, the environmental management, reading behavior, equipment reliability, or something else entirely?
