I've finished year 11 with only a few close friends all of which will not be going to the same sixth form as me. On the other hand i have a twin sister who obviously WILL be going to the same place. We both don't talk to people often and just hang out alone, but want to make new friends at sixth form since we have one subject different (I chose maths, she chose eng lit+lang). I'm already not looking forward to going and it's gonna be worse having only my sister as a friend but also what if she makes friends and i don't? Is making friends easy as an extremely socially awkward quiet girl? Idk guys i need advice.

im shy you could say although i hate that word, actually at some point i considered myself to be selectively mute but i really want to make friends in a 6th form that is small as an external applicant. i know most of the students will be from that school already so will have friend groups and i dont want to join a group id feel like an intruder. any experiences or advise?
