Hello,

My mom was just approved for the DTC for the last 10 years. This is significant and she needs the fund to help manage her illness. My understanding is that it can take quite a long time for the actual retroactive adjustments to be applied…up to a year? And they may yet ask for more information? What kind of information? Also, she hasn’t had much income the last few years, so we were hoping to have it applied to my dad — is that something CRA will do automatically if he was on her initial application?
